2. In illustrator, go to Window > Extensions > ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud, sign in with your ArcGIS Online account.
3. In Mapboards, click Draw button, set size and scale, and click OK.
4. With the map frame slected, click Preview and add content. Here you can chang base map and add layers as your normally do in ArcGIS Online or Pro.
5. When done, click Sync to load the current map into Illustrator. This step may take a while depending the complexity of the map.
6. The map comes in as map tiles, and you will see grids. To get rid of the grids, use the Pathfinder tool in Illustrator to unite the tiles as one continuous shape.
7. You can add more layers by going back to Window > Extensions > ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud. New sync will come in as a new layer group in illustrator.
